I lead an interdisciplinary team to deliver the planning, material procurement, union production, engineering, and commissioning of the Canadian submarine refit project. This requires utilizing project control methodology while maintaining open communication with various stakeholders to emphasize priorities and goals across the group. My area of delivery includes the electrical, combat and weapons systems of the boat - all of which require individual attention and work package planning. Having the ability to understand the technical work scope has been pivotal to the role, while also identifying process inefficiencies and improvement potential to expedite the release of work. I was responsible for delivering the day to day work onboard the submarine. This involved actively managing a variety of stakeholders to action their tasks not limited to scope definition, engineering solutions, material demands, production tasks, or change control deliverables. I led the development of detailed production schedules with milestones to ensure the documented and timely delivery of work. I ran daily meetings to ensure priorities were communicated and understood while holding the team accountable for their part of the project. I liaised with the customer and various functional departments when scope clarity was required. I monitored KPIs and developed spreadsheets and metrics to track project progress across the groups.

When working as the earned value analyst, I worked with project controls stakeholders to design and implement a novel earned value management system that amalgamated and analyzed large data to deliver KPI metrics. This also involved convincing various project stakeholders of the benefits of earned value and leveraged their knowledge to further explain project delivery areas of concern. Before changing roles, I automated the system to allow project administrators to run earned value analysis. Concurrent to my earned value responsibilities, I also reestablished and monitored risk management across three submarine projects, worked with directors to develop an ERM framework that integrated business and project risks, and rolled it out across the business.

I facilitated changes to project baseline due to scope amendments while monitoring and reporting on change costs and schedule impacts. I worked with subcontractors to develop change contracts and worked with the client (DND) to ensure transparency and clarity of changes to the project.

While working as a project manager for VeloMetro Mobility, I coordinated the launch of a novel pilot vehicle on the UBC campus. This involved managing our UI/UX development team, our systems engineers, our marketing personnel, and the UBC Campus Parking representatives to deliver a safe and engaging experience to the students on campus. I worked with my team to plan customer service interfaces and processes; established a vehicle maintenance regime tracker and execution plan; and collected data to identify issues and risks to the vehicle. I worked with the general public to ensure the vehicle parameters were understood and safety standards were met. I participated in project closeout including impacted risks, lessons learned, and highlighted feedback from our user base to inform vehicle modifications and engineering changes needed on the next prototype.

I did stocktaking and compliance checks on newly arrived parts. I built assemblies and carried out system tests to validate our engineering designs. I participated in warehouse layout and ergonomic plans for rapid growth. I lead a new ERP system implementation. I managed RFQs, POs, and subcontractors when needed.
