Providing support for Navies and shipyards on the development of naval designs to allow Classification under Lloyd’s Rules, but tailored to the specific national standards and requirements of the customer Navy, and technical expertise on ship and submarine systems to support the global LR naval team.Delivering advisory projects to address specific engineering and safety challenges for Navies, tier 1 and commercial clients.Monitoring and researching marine engineering technical trends in order to ensure that LR Rules for the Classification of Naval Ships provide appropriate technical requirements to allow the safe use of technologies in naval ships, including technical changes initiated through the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and legislation or the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), otherwise in response to technical queries and specific project requirements for projects in the early design phase and through broad monitoring of networks and industry sources. LR representative for an International Naval Safety Association (INSA) working group, supporting development activities for the Naval Ship Code (NATO ANEP77).

Senior naval engineer within the submarine team at BMT. Primarily undertaking consultancy projects for the Ministry of Defence. Technical lead and project manager for a range of consultancy and design change projects including managing project teams. Other projects include marine auxiliary systems design for naval ships, and submarine concept design. Deputy contract and programme manager for a high value contract with responsibility for bidding and commercial negotiations.

Seconded into Babcock International, carrying out specific engineering and project management tasks as part of the Ship Systems and Propulsion team, working as an embedded support partner to the UK MoD.
