Revised and updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) •At AIBioTech, I performed DNA/RNA Extractions of pathology specimen to test for the presence of bacteria and viruses using micro array, PCR, and real time PCR assays. Testing samples included pap smears, gynecologic swabs, urine and tissue. To perform the DNA extractions, I used the Qiagen Tissue Extraction Kit, Invitek Extraction Kit and other in-house extraction methods. Molecular Assays performed include: Gen-Probe Aptima 2 Combo and Tigris system using target capture magnetic beads, Auto Genomics Micro-Array Infinity System, Taqman q-PCR by Applied BioSystems 7500 analyzer.• Performed decontamination of surfaces and lab equipment to ensure no cross-contamination and infection prevention.
