I strive to build upon the successes of my clients and to enable their continued progress towards their goals. As a former classroom teacher and public-school assistant principal, I know firsthand the challenges that my clients encounter and the best ways to overcome these limits. I was the Assistant Principal that worked across the operations of the public school to provide quality experiences for our students and staff. I served as part of the leadership team at the location that tackled a number of special projects through a period of rapid change. I did this with my strongorganizational skills and the insights gained from my time in the classroom.Our student population was diverse, and my mission was to create an inclusive learning environment for everyone. I did this through coaching and modeling the culturally responsive teaching practices for all staff to enable connections between the educators and students of color. I used evidence-based practices, insights from the students, and community driven practices to cultivate a cohesive education culture that supports everyone. Results in this capacity were:• Increased the school’s rating by the Department of Education a full letter grade (from C to B) in 12 months by leading an innovative remediation process that paired weekly training and timely feedback to students and staff.• Secured 20% increase in the average rating of teachers on their final evaluation scores with comprehensive, constructive coaching to educators.• Achieved an 89% proficiency in math scores for the Title 1 school by transforming the math program and aligning instructions to the standards. • Grew the School’s social media following 300% with comprehensive, consistent communications across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. • Reviewed assessment data, found gaps, and provided proactive coaching to teachers to continuously improve their instruction to meet the needs of the learners.

I was a classroom teacher for the public school district in Florida during this time. I learned and applied the State educational standards to create the content, provide instruction, and apply learner feedback to drive improvements in my delivery. I worked with students of all abilities who were from diverse backgrounds in a busy classroom. My compassion and genuine interest in their success led to their trust and active participation in the materials. This also led to my ability to build a strong classroom culture that supported everyone in their successes. These successes led to the high-test scores of my students as well as a number of awards for my contributions to the educational community. I loved being in the classroom during this time but found that I could have a bigger impact if I moved into the administration of the schools to support other educators. As a result, I took the opportunity to move into consulting and then into the Assistant Principal role to apply those talents to help other educators to unlock their potential.

I was an Instructional Math Coach for the public school district during this time. I provided the content, tools, and instruction to develop math teachers across the large district to enable better results for the students. I sought out ways to leverage new technologies and tactics to engage the participants in the methods and to hold them accountable for the desired outcomes. I was the first person to provide support and feedback to the teachers that I served during this time. This included the weekly training and individual coaching sessions that I provided during this time. My success in this role translated into engagement of the educators in the best practices and that resulted in the 10% increase in math scores for the students they taught that year.

I was a Standards Bootcamp Facilitator for the nonprofit that works shoulder to shoulder with educators to support great teaching and accelerate student learning. My role was to facilitate trainings for educators around the State of Florida. I did this using the proprietary methods and tools to develop the teachers that I served. I applied the insights that I gained in the classroom and knowledge of adult learning to engage participants in the programs. I also sought out ways to translate the learnings to opportunities for the participants in their daily work life. This interactive, fun experience resulted in great success for the teachers that I coached during this time and improved the learning experiences for their students.

I was the sales operations manager that provided training and sales leadership for the employees of the franchise. I designed the customer experience for the kids and families that used the facility and participated in the fitness programs. I worked full-time until I started teaching to develop the staff and continued to consult with the franchise ownership after I left on a variety of projects. I served as the voice of the customer in each initiative to ensure that the real needs of our clients were met while facilitating sustainable success of the organization.
