First it has been an exciting knowledge filled ride with 20 years of affordable housing industry experience. The first 10 years, my career was dedicated to solely affordable housing compliance as a Compliance Manager with Investors Management Company in Valdosta Georgia. During this part of the career I obtained a tremendous amount of knowledge through seminars and training by specialists dedicated to the LIHTC & Rural Development industry. I utilized this affordable compliance knowledge by managing/monitoring site managers, transmitting these site required monthly, grtly & annual reports as well as recerifications and move ins. As, well as preformed monthly file audits of the resident files.The next 10 years has been an exciting, knowledge filled experience with an extraordinary team at Dewar Properties/ Tishco Properties. Where I have had the pleasure of utilizing all of my training and knowledge as a Sr Compliance Manager/Regional.Responsible for overseeing multiple affordable communities while training personnel new to the affordable housing industry. These responsibilities include managing site managers, maintenance staff, meeting compliance regulations for LIHTC, Rural Development & Home programs, preparing for program inspections. A small list of Home office responsibilities include: Budgets, Expenditure request approvals and maintaining site managers policy and procedures per the companies software responsibilities.
