I’m comfortable creating floor plans, building colour schemes, creating mood boards, working with tradespeople, and sourcing materials, furniture, and decor for clients.Collingwood is an amazing town, and I love working right downtown in the heart of our community.

I see the uniqueness of our Arts community here in South Georgian Bay, and Route 26 was my way of supporting it. It was a perfect opportunity for me to create something with both my academic background in Popular Music and Culture and my personal background as a performing songwriter and musician.Route26.ca was more than a music blog—we connected musicians in the area, and showed off what we have to offer to newcomers and tourists alike.With this endeavour, I built a branded website and social media, conducted interviews, wrote articles, published articles online, attended and reviewed events, produced video content, and hosted live performances. As Route 26 grew in popularity, I brought on other writers and social media contributors to our team. Route 26 was a fabulous addition to our Arts community, and it allowed me to connect with musicians and people in the local music industry.I ultimately stepped away from the project due to lack of funding and time. I was working on Route 26 in addition to my full time career, and my plate was too full. I still highly value our Arts community and look forward to future projects in the Arts sphere.

I truly loved conducting interviews with homeowners, designers, and contractors for Our Homes magazine. Through writing feature articles to educate and inspire readers about local homes, I sharpened my interviewing, writing, and design skills. Here's a quick decorating tip that I've learned: When you're matching 3 toss cushions, first choose the colour scheme that you like, and then opt for 1 solid, 1 graphic, and 1 pattern within that colour scheme.

I coordinated 40+ musicians who participated in the 2017 Collingwood Art Crawl (www.collingwoodartcrawl.com). My responsibilities included pairing each act with a participating venue, scheduling the lineup, and making sure that the musicians had all information and equipment needed on the evening of the event.

In completing my MA, my focus centred on film sound design, film music, and the consequent moviegoer experience. One highlight was presenting an hour lecture on the history of Canadian punk music!
