This position involved working closely with a number of expert groups and HELCOM Contracting Parties in coordinating and managing tasks related to these topics, including preparing and organizing meetings.

In this role I coordinated a review on impact assessments for deep-sea fisheries in the high seas together with the DOSI Fisheries Working Group

My PhD research focused on ecological risks of human activities on marine ecosystems, with a particular focus on the environmental impacts of mineral extraction from the seabed. This role also included teaching in field courses in marine biology and a MSc course in sustainability science.

I worked as an assisting researcher in the Vesisen project with continuous fluorescence measurements from flow-through sampling systems on passenger ferries. My tasks included validating data from past decades in the Alg@line project, data analysis and visualization with R and Ocean Data View and developing of new models for calibration from in situ samples.
