I am a very dynamic individual with a zest for life and community. I love to meet new individuals and travel to new places and tell the stories of whom I met and my travels. I believe everyone and place has a story to tell, which is why I received my Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. This is also why I also was able to smoothly transition into marketing, when working as both a territory manager and sales person for Nokia/Microsoft.The many years of interviewing individuals as a Sportswriter, for The Orange County Register’s weekly papers, allotted me time and a place to find my way of getting to know my subjects and getting to the crux of the story. I used the same techniques when speaking with corporate professionals, managers and sales individuals in order to find out and reach solutions for their wants and needs, for themselves and the company. This also allowed for me to put a game plan together to assist them with sales of our products.I also believe in fostering relationships, and gaining trust. This is extremely important in my professional, as well as my personal life. Without trust one cannot gain access to the wants and needs of the people you work for and with. In gaining trust, I was able to get into doors where other reporters and territory managers were not able to get into (i.e., the NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles and access to the backrooms for meetings and trainings in Verizon, AT&T and T Mobile.) I am very physically active, which allows me to have energy and be clear of mind when meeting people and walking into stores within my territory. I also love the outdoors and am very adventurous. I am intelligent, funny and a fast study. I pride myself on taking challenges head on, until I can overcome them. And, I definitely am a self-starter, motivator and a team player.
