Management of the delivery of a range of electricity transmission projects for National Grid, working with Morrison Energy Services.

Accredited Level 2 Project Manager with Jacobs. Wide range of experience including management of projects for National Grid, the Environment Agency and Thames Water.

Accountable for delivery of a portfolio of projects to improve the fixed flood defences along the tidal Thames in London. Includes projects at all stages of their lifecycle including appraisal, task order proposal, design and construction. Leading a team of project managers, and working closely with discipline leads and the Environment Agency client team. Presentations at monthly portfolio reviews and strategic meetings.

Leading multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver flood defence improvements for the outer Thames Estuary. Projects have included design of a large pumping station, remediation to existing flood defence walls and a major programme of ground anchor testing.

The Thames Tideway Tunnel project is designed to make the tidal River Thames cleaner and healthier. The project involves construction of a 23km long sewer tunnel under the river, intercepting sewage from 23 existing combined sewer overflows. CH2M (now Jacobs) was commissioned to manage the programme and develop the design for the planning submission, and is managing the engineering, design and delivery during the construction phase.Provided design assurance for protection of third party infrastructure, with primary responsibility for river walls and in-river structures, ensuring contractor submissions meet client requirements.Responsible for the management of tunnel, shaft and construction site interfaces with buildings and infrastructure throughout the planning phase. Scoping, procurement and management of ground movement assessment work packages relating to buildings, flood defences, sewers, water mains and gas mains. Coordinated site investigation work including river wall inspections, structural surveys and heritage surveys. Undertook extensive liaison with utility companies, other asset owners, the Environment Agency, English Heritage and local authorities. Negotiated approvals in principle and letters of non-objection from several third parties. Also led asset data searches and the development of a third party asset database for the project.

Responsible for management of land access for all site investigations, including boreholes, flow monitoring and survey work. Responsibility for Water Industry Act (WIA) and New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) noticing. Database design and administration. Role involved working closely with land referencing, CAD, GIS and site supervision teams, and liaison with contractors, third parties and the public.

Construction of a first time sewerage project in a rural village involving 2km of new sewer and a new sewerage pumping station.Key activities included setting out, monitoring site activities, ordering materials and plant when required, and ensuring that health & safety and environmental procedures were correctly implemented. Primary responsibility for identifying and marking out the location of buried services.

Flow monitoring surveys and sewerage operations under Thames Water framework agreement.Key activities included collection of flow monitoring data from site, data analysis and interpretation, and report writing. Other responsibilities included dealing with customers by telephone, and the maintenance of quality assurance documentation.
