Prior to taking time away from the professional workforce I was employed with IBM for 10 years. During my time with IBM I held many support positions as well as management roles in a Supply Chain Management organization. My management roles consisted of managing a department of sixteen procurement professionals that were responsible for $345 million in supply purchases. I also managed a twenty-two person department of hourly warehouse employees that were responsible for the receiving, storing, disbursing and transporting of product to a multi-line manufacturing facility. I hold a BA in Materials and Logistics Management (now known as Supply Chain Management) from Michigan State University's #1 ranked undergraduate Supply Chain Management program and an MBA from Wake Forest University which I earned through their elite executive program. While away from the professional workplace I have managed a household and raised two children. In addition, I also went back to school to earn an American Montessori Society Infant and Toddler Credential Certification in which I used to perform part time work at my children's Montessori preschool. As a family we spent a year living in England due to an international assignment of my husband's job. During that time in England we were able to travel Europe and gain a great appreciation for the diversity of our world. Lastly, for many years I operated a professional pet care business.Even though I have taken time out of the professional workforce I feel that I still have many pertinent skills and attributes that would allow me to become a valued contributor in a very short time. My multitasking skills are exceptional as well as my creative problem solving abilities. In addition, I possess excellent written and oral communication skills as well as an unparalleled appreciation for organization and efficiency.
