This is a super fun thing I do occasionally on the weekends. As a Design Code build Instructor I teach middle school students about the basics of computer programming and introduce them to coding on a Raspberry Pi!Design_Code_Build is a series of interactive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) events at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View designed to introduce more than 400 Bay Area middle school students to the basic concepts involved in coding, such as logic, structure, space and change. Students cycle through a series of challenges in groups and get to work with a raspberry pi to learn some of the basic skills needed to succeed in STEM.

My time at Society for Science & the Public was a very rewarding experience. Working at a relatively small organization with dedicated people made all the difference in the world.
