I graduated from Cardinal Stritch University in December 1997 Magna Cum Laude. I took a long term sub position in an Early childhood classroom in Sheboygan WI. That summer I was hired at Thomas Jefferson Summer School program teaching in the LD room. After summer school I was hired as a kindergarten teacher at St Mary’s Lake Church. Here I help develop curriculum for kindergarten and K4 programs. I also helped bring in a K3 program and ran all 3. In 2000 I decided that it was time to move on and become a stay at home mom. I kept up with my licenses and taking classes when I could. I wanted to start working again but part time. In 2011 I started working with an autistic boy in his home. Mom was home schooling him and I helped her out a couple of days a week. In 2014 I decided to get back to the work force full time. My children still were school age, I decided I wanted to work as a paraprofessional. I was hired by the Port Washington Saukville school district and worked at Lincoln elementary. I enjoyed my time there. I worked with children who were labeled EBD to children who were in Early Childhood. In 2016 I was contacted by Saukville Elementary to work with another boy with behavior issues. I worked with him for a couple of months before he changed schools. I was then placed in kindergarten. Here I helped the teachers prep for the lessons. I also work with all special needs children in kindergarten. Along with doing all behavior kids too. I love that I get to be involved with all children. I am a positive person who loves her job.
