I am a dedicated high school teacher. I have been teaching at the high school level since 2006. For the past 14 years, I have had the opportunity to engage with students who have an interest in learning more about the business industry. Throughout my teaching experience, I have taught the following classes: Personal Finance, Business & Everyday Law, Web Technologies, Computer Applications, Social Media Marketing, Introduction to Business, Accounting and Marketing.In addition to teaching, I have been fortunate enough to become a DECA Advisor (Kiel High School) and a Co-Advisor (Port Washington High School). Every year I am thrilled to see how DECA students excel in their competitions, as well as in their school and community involvement.Working in the Port Washington-Saukville School District has allowed me the opportunity to network and form relationships with local organizations. Both the Port Washington Main Street Program and the Port Washington-Saukville Rotary Club have offered students the opportunity to gain experience in the business field. The Main Street Program asked for student representation on their board while the Rotary Club has reached out to business students to help with updating and maintaining the organization's social media presence.My passion for teaching became clear to me in my management role at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Training and developing new employees was always a strong point for me, making the transition into education seamless and natural. I am proud to say that I am a Port Washington Pirate!
