Environmental Coordinator
Industrias Aliadas is a Colombian company that produces and exports soluble coffee and coffee extract, that belongs to Nutresa Group.As an Environmental Coordinator, I was responsible for providing environmental advice and support to the business in all aspects of environmental management and compliance. This included developing, reviewing, and executing the company's HSE strategy; managing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for the existing Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015); and ensuring compliance with the company's environmental indicators in accordance with strategic planning, as well as the indicators associated with the environmental programs.In this role, I carried out multiple internal and external audits of the different management systems of the company. As a result, I could identify environmental aspects, impacts, and risks to ensure the necessary controls were enacted within the company guidelines, legislation, and international standards. In addition, I conducted incident investigations, determining root causes, and recommended and implemented appropriate corrective actions and controls.Furthermore, I led a project to improve the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and ensured its correct performance. I provided environmental awareness training to all workshop staff, including senior managers, and assisted with site health and safety activities.
