About Laura Grant
I am a facilitator and people and strategy consultant, with diverse global experience in Australia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, working across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. I thrive when working collaboratively with others to problem solve, explore new perspectives and develop solutions that contribute to social justice, inclusion and wellbeing. My facilitation and consulting work enables communities, organisations, teams and individuals to build on their strengths and collaborate effectively. I build trust and hold spaces for brave conversations that matter. I am particularly fascinated by organisational cultures and developing effective leaders, teams and sustainable workplace cultures to unlock human potential. My career has enabled me to work on four continents and in seven countries (Australia, France, Sweden, South Africa, Liberia, Palestine and Mali) and on issues including humanitarian and emergency responses, multiculturalism, refugees and migration, governance, justice, inclusion, mental health and wellbeing, human rights, Aboriginal rights, climate change, and community engagement. Being able to navigate complexity, think strategically, build effective relationships, and bring diverse stakeholders together in pursuit of common goals has enabled me to achieve positive impacts in all the roles I have held. I was fortunate to be awarded one of eight John Monash Scholarships awarded nationwide in Australia in 2011, which I used to study a Masters of Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University in Sweden. My undergraduate education was in Law, Journalism and International Relations. Since returning to Australia, I undertook an Advanced Diploma of Group Facilitation in 2018.
