I joined Tech Nation in the newly-created role of Speaker Engagement Lead and as Head of Events (maternity cover), taking ownership of two key areas of the business.- Responsible for managing speaker liaison for Tech Nation events and initiatives, all the while with an eye on D&I as a priority.- Managed event budgets and operations on multiple concurrent projects, planning and delivering exceptional, seamless events both onsite at physical events and online for virtualevents, working closely with external suppliers and production companies where relevant.- Built and managed new and existing relationships with leaders from the UK’s top tech companies, high-level external stakeholders, and senior government representatives.- Collaborated closely with our marketing, partnerships and design teams, and managing a team of event producers, to build relevant and timely events.- Led speaker acquisition and event management for a high volume of events and initiatives, delivering an annual calendar of original and exciting events with a focus on optimising attendee experience.

I was responsible for producing the Finovate brand of conferences at Informa.Most recently, I had produced our flagship FinovateFall conference - our first fully-virtual event, which ran in September 2020 and delivered an 80% GP margin despite the pandemic. I had also just successfully delivered FinovateEurope (which ran virtually in March 2021).I delivered a record-breaking FinovateFall show in New York in 2019, and launched our first FinovateAfrica conference in December 2018. In addition, I am proud to have produced and successfully delivered FinovateEurope 2019 in London and FinovateMiddleEast 2019, and to have led the smooth and seamless pivot from physical to virtual of our FinovateWest 2020 show, which ran in November.Running in New York, San Francisco and London, and more recently in Hong Kong, Dubai and Cape Town, Finovate brings together the business, policy, regulatory and tech drivers that are re-shaping financial services.
