Employability Adviser

• Provide information, advice and guidance (IAG) to students on all aspects of employability on a one to one and group work basis, as part of the central careers service• Based in the Humanities department, where I provide specialist support to students on English, History and Stage&Screen courses• Develop and deliver lectures, workshops and resources for all students and also tailored for above caseload, including written content for the web and social media• Liaise with academic staff to develop employability activities/resources for curricular and co-curricular delivery• Lead an internal Research and LMI project, currently focusing on a first year student survey• Team member of the 'Career Impact' project, an interactive programme run in connection with employers that coaches and supports a diverse group of high achieving students throughout the process of their graduate job applications• Four years experience working in the Natural and Built Environment courses, specialising in property, construction, geography and environmental science coursesAdditional achievements include:• Representing the university in Beijing; designed and delivered CPD for Chinese education professionals and agents about careers advice and guidance• Member of the AGCAS Research Group, which supports the development of AGCAS research activities
