Laura Klein is a results driven, high performance, Climate Industry leader who has held multiple executive roles in startups focused on developing sustainable food, agriculture, and carbon market solutions. She is an active speaker, author, and contributor on the benefits of regenerative agriculture and the enablers that are needed to support farmers at scale. Laura is a strategist, designer, innovator, and startup junkie that loves the rapid pace of creating impact at scale. As a former Division 1 athlete, her passion for building purpose driven teams that foster community, trust, and talent, to overcome the world's most difficult challenges, ultimately led her to build a new type climate venture. Prior to being a founder, Laura was the Head of Strategy at Perennial, a series A climate startup that was featured as one of Time Magazine’s Top Sustainability Inventions of the Year in 2022. During her time at Perennial, Laura led the design of Perennial’s carbon market program, supply chain decarbonization prototyping, customer acquisition, sales enablement, and strategic alliances that positioned Perennial's MRV technology as the solution of choice for over 8 million acres of regenerative farm land. Additionally, she priced, structured, and negotiated complex multi-year financial agreements (each larger than $10M) and brought multiple product prototypes to market.Throughout her career, Laura has held strategy and operations roles at Indigo and Putnam, where she worked to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions that created impact at the nexus of people, purpose, planet, and prosperity.Laura is a proud graduate of Stanford University and holds a B.S. in Human Biology and an M.S. in Earth Systems. While her entrepreneurial and problem solving approach may still be authentically “Cardinal,” her passion for the outdoors stretches back to early childhood memories of friends and family and the exciting idea of a new adventure.
