As a corporate communications advisor, I am part of the team that develops and implements a multichannel communication and marketing strategy. I constantly seek to improve our communication tools to simplify the production of engaging messages and use them across our channels.I advise management and (academic) colleagues on communication strategies and best practices, empowering them with knowledge of and access to the channels they need to better share their activities. Enabling colleagues to improve their communication turns them into ambassadors of IHE Delft, amplifying the overarching communication strategy.Strategically planning and overseeing communications on IHE Delft's social media channels falls under my responsibility. We use these channels to engage with and inform our broad audience of the activities that IHE Delft and its staff, PhD fellows, students, alumni, and partners are undertaking. I have grown these channels from the onset to where they are today.I develop and create online media content - increasingly including visual content - together with specialized agencies and colleagues. Visual content includes corporate videos, webinars, live streams of online events, photo stories & topical photo series, and short (marketing) videos. I organize corporate events, including those held online. During the Coronavirus outbreak, I was instrumental in organizing an online graduation for our MSc students. I share and advise on best practices to help my colleagues make the most of their own specialized events and visitors' programmes. I led the development of our corporate intranets and help to maintain informative and consistent internal messaging. This helps colleagues, PhD candidates, and students find the information they need to get their work done, and engages them in what happens at the Institute outside their specialty.

I lead the development of the corporate intranet and help to maintain consistent and informative internal messaging, engaging employees to become advocates of the Institute and its strategy and allowing them to find the information they need to get their work done.Corporate content that I monitor builds on UNESCO-IHE's image and maintains its corporate identity and positioning. Corporate content that I produce includes the Institutional film and annual report but also multimedia projects and all sorts of (web / intranet) articles. I organize several events at the Institute, such as the annually recurring Womens' Day and Water Sector Market. I am currently working on several events during the Institute's 60th anniversary in 2017. I share tools and best practices to help my colleagues manage their events and tailor their visitors' programmes successfully.

As the Corporate Communications Officer, I am part of UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education's Communication Office.I am in charge of UNESCO-IHE’s corporate collateral and internal communication, leading the production of i.e. the Annual Report and monthly internal interUPDATE newsletter. I also manage the Institute's corporate social media platforms, communicating UNESCO-IHE's impact on the world - as well as corporate partnerships and interests - to a constantly increasing audience. I organize corporate events including the annually recurring International Women's Day conference, internal World Water Day celebrations, the Water Sector Market and the opening of the Institute's historical OD 95 building during the International Heritage Days.

As the Public Relations Officer, I was part of UNESCO-IHE's Marketing and Communications team. I was often the first contact for those interested in UNESCO-IHE, and answer or redirect a wide range of queries from outside (and within) the Institute. I played a central role in maintaining UNESCO-IHE's corporate presence on social media outlets, and often advised on the use of social media and online tools.I was in charge of the development of the Institute's marketing material. Besides that, I produced UNESCO-IHE's Annual Report, regularly published the internal 'Yellow Pages' newsletter and supported the development of other corporate and PR collateral.I arranged programmes for high-level and group visits to the Institute. I also handled UNESCO-IHE's corporate presence at fairs, conferences and other PR events. I was the Lady Speaker at the MSc graduation ceremony, and whenever else it was required.

As UNESCO-IHE's Beadle, I dealt with the logistical coordination of Academic Ceremonies, including PhD promotions, Inaugural Addresses, and Professor Farewells. I also acted as the Beadle during these ceremonies.

The Personnel Council (PC; in Dutch: ondernemingsraad) is elected by staff members, and conducts staff consultations with the employer on their behalf. The PC must agree with new personnel regulations, and the PC must advise on major changes in the organisation from a staff perspective. I held both the Deputy Chair and Secretary positions for one term.

Vrijeschool Rotterdam-West, the new Waldorf / Steiner school in Rotterdam-West, will start in August 2015. This is something that I, together with the other board members as well as many enthusiastic volunteers, made happen. De Vrijeschool Rotterdam-West start in augustus 2015. Ik heb hier, samen met de andere stuurgroepleden en veel enthousiaste vrijwilligers, voor gezorgd.
