You are welcome to contact me at llaskosz@yahoo.com I am a public health leader for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), a national non-profit organization, with executive-level volunteer committee oversight, project and administrative management, development, implementation of educational activities and programs, establishing child health policy. My expertise is in leading volunteer member physician executive committees to develop policy, advocacy, and education initiatives on a national level. I have redesigned a 2.5-day, in-person, continuing medical education course that increased attendance, fiscal viability, and education resulting in practice improvements and providing better care for children. I successfully lead member volunteer planning groups to develop in-person and online educational content for general pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists, and pediatric surgical specialists. As a staff leader, I collaborated with my colleagues to redesign internal AAP structures that improve activities in education, advocacy, and policy to strengthen the structure and function of internal constituencies. This new structure will improve collaboration between similar groups, increase internal and intra-departmental communication maximizing efficiency, and minimize redundancy of work.
