With a Master of Public Health, I have the pleasure of applying my skills and passion at the American Academy of Pediatrics. My skills in preventative health and program management have helped me serve my role as a Program Manager. Through this role, I have extensive experience managing multiple CDC-funded projects while working with healthcare professionals around the country to identify the effects of trauma in children, promote recovery and build resilience, and prevent children from experiencing trauma through a relational health, trauma-informed care framework. During my time as a Health Equity Fellow for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, I gained experience in grant management via reviewing grant proposals, improving budget and work plans, evaluating community health programs, and providing technical assistance to achieve grant deliverables. These organizations have not only enhanced my skills and knowledge, but also furthered my passion for public health. I appreciate the opportunity to serve my community and continue to improve and promote equitable access to healthcare.
