I have had over three years of laboratory working experience in my current position as a laboratory technician at Norco Foods.   I commenced employment as a Laboratory Assistant with Norco Foods in August 2014. Since commencing I have found that I thrive in a professional, fast paced, structured yet ever- changing environment. Efficiency and knowledge is a core requirement to fulfil this position as you are required to hold the ability to gauge results accurately, meet strict deadlines and follow procedures without fault or error. I complete a number of core duties including but not limited to:• Test samples for TVC, E. coli, butterfat, protein, pH, sediment and listeria• Calibrate laboratory equipment• Read colour determined tests• Ensure work space is well maintained and hygienic at all times • Follow WH&S standards when working with microbiological and chemical procedures• Weekly reporting• Communicate/Consult/Liaise with multiple departments• Up-line and notification of any non-conformance• Autoclave and dispose of hazardous waste
