I provided career guidance, college counseling, and professional development to the 1,350+ Eastern college students majoring in STEM fields, as well as pre-majors and alumni. I collaborated with key faculty and staff to enhance student professionalism, in order to increase their employability. My project highlights include, Career Mentoring Program: group and e-mentoring by professionals aligned with student career goals; Computing & Engineering Career Fair: connecting employers with exceptional Computer Science and Engineering students; Interview IQ: mock interviewing and networking with STEM professionals.

I first joined EWU as part of the Admissions team with the goal of increased student and community outreach and enrollment growth in Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho and Alaska. The population of my recruitment area was primarily underserved, underrepresented, first-generation college students, which required personalized presentations and outreach programs, and extensive college advising for both student and parent(s). Project highlights include, Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program advising: I counseled 60+ MESA high school students in post-secondary planning and college readiness; High School to EWU Symposium: I implemented an on-campus program for AP/honors students and teachers that included attending the annual student research symposium and faculty networking luncheon.
