I have been a business appraiser for over 20 years. I prepare business valuations for a variety of reasons including gift & estate planning, litigation (shareholder disputes), marital dissolution, business planning, sale, bankruptcy, bank financing, and stock compensation reporting. I have prepared over 2,000 appraisals and testified as an expert witness on approximately 35 occasions in Oregon, Washington and Michigan. I have specialized experience in the automotive industry. I am also experienced in appraising companies in manufacturing, construction, professional services, telecommunications, retail, financial services. In every engagement, I am dedicated to providing a well-supported report and value conclusion. I am accredited as a senior appraiser (ASA) through the American Society of Appraisers and also hold a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation through the CFA Institute. In addition to business appraisals, I also value private party notes receivable and determine the value of of fractional interest holdings of real estate. I also have expertise in financial damages analysis, including lost wages and benefits (including PERS) and lost business value.
