As a Revenue Integrity Analyst under EPIC implementation, I supported the systems Revenue Integrity department as well as all related operations through the means of detailed analysis and proactive review of data. Identified and acted upon reimbursement and revenue opportunities, Ensured revenue optimization through the implementation of charge capture and charge reconciliation tools, Worked with medical, clinical and support staff regarding reimbursement issues related to: coding, documentation, payer requirements and audit results.Assisted in the development and implementation of the Charge Description Master (CDM) while ensuring data integrity, worked closely with Compliance in the assignment of charge codes and CPT codes to clinical activities.Reviewed assignment of fees for new, modified and existing charge codes and maintained strategic pricing methodologies. Provided feedback/education to all necessary parties thus promoting accurate and timely charging and reimbursement. Assisted in the design and development of effective charging documentation, processes, and tools with a focus on accurate and timely charge capture / charge reconciliation. Assisted in the investigation of charging and/or billing opportunities for existing and future revenue projects while determining reimbursement potential. Assisted in the monitoring of all automated systems for effectiveness in meeting timely and accurate charge capture and ensuring payer requirements are met according to payer specific contract terms.
