I am an alumnus of Loughborough University, where I studied for my Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I gained experience in the Research and Development department of JELD-WEN Manufacturing. Both of these areas allowed me to become adaptable to project challenges and versatile to work across a number of positions in mechanical and manufacturing roles. I chose to study this degree as I have a love for all things automotive and an interest in the environmental sustainability of the automotive sector also. My final year group project focused on investigating and designing an autonomous electric trailer. By having a battery powered trailer, this would reduce the load on the electric powered towing vehicle and extend the batteries range. This project allowed research into autonomous vehicles, vehicle dynamics, control engineering and Industry 4.0. I want to undertake a career in engineering that will present new challenges as the automotive sector moves towards a more sustainable future and allow me to add value for the industry.
