As Acquisitions, Rights, and Contracts Manager, I oversee the process of receiving original manuscript submissions, their review by an editorial team, and either acceptance or rejection. This requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and professional communication, as well as negotiation. I facilitate communication with authors, foreign publishers, translators, and our editorial team to ensure the process from submission to publication is as seamless as possible. And I organize monthly editorial meetings as part of our review process.In addition to this, I manage rights after works are published, permissions for already published works, and everything related to contracts: renewals, reversions, addendums, and much more. I pursue and research rights and work with a number of third parties to sublicense rights or work in a joint venture capacity. My work involves regular use of a database software system, which I've gained expertise in.
