My team used a combination of research and data science methods including survey design, causal inference and experimentation, statistics and machine learning models.Between 2013-2021 I worked at the World Bank leading programs and developing policies that leverage technology and data to promote efficient labor markets, diminish people's exposure to risks, and enhance their resilience to shocks. I led projects and partnerships on public policy development, identified new methods for poverty targeting, and coordinated several impact evaluations in the fields of labor, education, healthcare, and agriculture. I worked across Africa and Asia, with a field posting in Indonesia for two years and activities in several post-conflict and fragile countries. My work applied frontier economic thinking, digital technologies, utilization of data and evidence-based methods, combined with pragmatism and diplomacy.I received my PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
