Oversee all planning aspects of allocated events within the Centre to ensure a successful outcome for our clients, whilst maximising commercial viability and maintaining Centre standards, policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities• Act as the main point of contact for clients once event is contracted, providing expertise and support in order to facilitate the success of allocated events.• Assume overall responsibility for the event from the Centre’s perspective whilst providing support, direction and guidance to all internal departments • Maximise revenue opportunities for the Centre, whilst managing costs both directly and in consultation with other department managers.• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to maximise repeat business as well as encouraging feedback on all aspects of the event process to facilitate the improvement of products and services. • Communicate on a regular basis with all internal departments to ensure they have all relevant up to date event information throughout the event process. • Act as the main point of contact for event contractors throughout the event planning to promote effective communication.• Promote the practise of risk management throughout the event process to minimise the Centre’s exposure and protect clients, staff and contractors.• Proactively identify and resolve resource and scheduling conflicts prior to and during assigned events.• Actively participate in the event industry through EEAA, MEA, and other industry related activities.• Contribute to and make recommendations regarding policy and procedural changes, and development of event related product and services provided by the Centre to ensure the best possible result for our clients.

• Managing the day to day operations of the venue including sales, event management, operational logistics & head office reporting• Ensured that the needs of the client both internal and external are met in a courteous, efficient and professional manner• Direction & supervision of room set up, execution of events and co ordination of event staff• Sourcing new business and following up on sales leads• Ensured OH&S policies and standards were maintained• Ensured weekly & monthly marketing and budgetary targets were met
