This curiosity drove my decision to study Psychology and Psychological Research Methods at University. My passion for using data to understand and even affect human behaviour, as well as a belief in the power of education, led me to a career in marketing, communications and fundraising in the tertiary education sector. I spent 18 years working in teams, small and large, in the UK and Australia, and gained extensive experience building engaged and productive teams and managing strategic programs and projects.As I moved into roles that involved managing people, I discovered a joy and talent for coaching and developing others, driven by the belief that we work at our best when we understand and work with our innate talents. This drove me to obtain a strengths-based coaching certification a few years ago. I love working with individuals and teams to facilitate conversations about what comes naturally to them, how to invest and transform talents into strengths, and seeing the ‘lightbulb’ moments that occur in those coaching conversations. I am enjoying the continuation of my lifelong learning journey studying Leadership and Organisational Development, at UNSW.
