Director
Director for the Cancer Center:Responsible for providing administrative leadership for planning, organizing, and directing strategic planning, quality of care, patient/customer care services, research initiatives, educational, and financial oversight of the Beaumont Health Cancer Center. In my first week as Director of the Center, and while coordinating and overseeing the implementation of Epic, I discovered a $325,000 billing error. Working collaboratively with my team members, we resolved and corrected the problem and collected the revenue. While investigating new process improvements, I researched and added a new CPT billing code for Dieticians and Nurses resulting in $116,900 additional yearly revenue. While investigating our vendor contracts I discovered an Ultrasound machine we no longer utilized, cancelled the contract and reduced annual expense by $7800. While analyzing our Beaumont billing processes, I discovered a discrepancy of $190,000 owed to the Center, from uncollected CT revenue which I was able to get allocated back to the Center. It is my experience in financial management that allows me to provide the oversight necessary to continue to analyze and improve revenue in multiple arenas.Through daily operations and support of the function of the Cancer Center Leadership Council, supports and facilitates the work and the practices of physicians who are involved in the care of oncology patients.
