I originally hail from Southern California, but I've made my home in the mountains of West Virginia on the East Coast. Despite living with four seasons, I still love my flip-flops year-round. I am a Partner and Director of Strategy & Communications at Hersick + Webster Creative Partners, a firm dedicated to place branding, strategic planning, and communications, dedicated to helping people create places they love. I hold Enterprise Design Thinking certificates from IBM and lead communities and organizations through strategic transformations. My love of problem-solving and the nitty-gritty of project management fuels my passion for designing solutions. One of my core commitments is assisting others in creating, pivoting, and successfully growing inside and outside the office. I firmly believe in the critical role of design in shaping businesses, communities, and causes. Over the years, I've served as an advisor, committee member, and board member for several organizations. In 2017, GDUSA recognized my partner and me as "Responsible Designs to Watch," acknowledging us as creative thought leaders who better the world through meaningful and impactful work. Additionally, I've had the privilege of serving as an adjunct teacher, helping students bridge the gap between college and the professional world. As a 200RYT trauma-informed yoga teacher and practitioner, I've found that yoga techniques cross over into my work in design and strategy. They help develop understanding from an authentic self and voice, define core values, and create habits that enliven intention and enable accessibility for all.Beyond my professional endeavors, I'm a trail champion, dedicated to increasing outdoor inclusion and access for all. Currently, I serve on as the Chair for Girls on the Run of the Shenandoah Valley.I count myself blessed to work alongside my spouse, both as work and life partners, on and off the trail. Itβs quite the love story, and the current chapter includes my two stepsons, three especially cuddly dogs, and my passion for really long runs as an ultramarathoner.
