ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5746-0222I have over 12 years experience, in different forms, overseeing the development of graduate student instructors and /or preparing future faculty for teaching roles and responsibilities. My research interests are in graduate student and postdoc teaching development in the biomedical sciences, along with how to best facilitate career-focused learning experiences. I both research and educate others about the experiences of LGBTQIA+ biomedical scientists and their professional development in supportive, affirming, and empowering environments.My scholarly and professional activities are related to researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating learning experiences for graduate students and postdocs in the biomedical sciences. I do this in multiple ways:1. I teach courses in teaching, assessment, and learning for biomedical/life science students (classroom and experiential learning), and I lead/manage teaching development programs for IUSM PhD students and postdocs2. I manage career and professional development programs and work with faculty and administrators on (re)designing programs and courses, while also overseeing policy development, program review, and student academic progression for graduate programs.3. I advise and consult with basic science faculty on program and course creation/revision, drawing on my 17+ years of experience of designing or revising university-level courses and programs.
