Lauren is the Founder and Director of Cusack Forensics and Business Valuation. Having spent 13 years with Ernst & Young (EY), 7 years with Crowe Horwath and nearly 4 years at ESV, Lauren established her own boutique forensic accounting and business valuation firm in 2021. Lauren has nearly 25 years’ experience in audit and business advisory services, business valuations, forensic accounting, litigation consultation and support. Lauren has assisted in providing expert forensic accounting and business valuation evidence in the Supreme Court, the Family Court, the Federal Circuit Court, and the Industrial Relations Tribunal. Lauren is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and is both an accredited business valuer and an accredited forensic accountant with CAANZ. Lauren is also a member of the Australian Association of Collaborative Professionals (AACP) and Collaborative Professionals NSW (CPNSW).Lauren is a Chartered Accountant and accredited business valuation specialist and accredited forensic accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand providing solutions for commercial transactions, shareholder disputes and litigation matters. Lauren possesses financial accounting, business modelling and business valuation expertise to deliver high quality solutions to individuals, management, companies and legal advisers. Lauren has been involved in the valuation of small to medium businesses; valuation of entities including private companies, partnerships and trusts; options and other employee entitlements; and the valuation of intangible assets including goodwill and intellectual property. Lauren's work in this area has been undertaken in a number of contexts including: compliance with tax consolidation legislation; stamp duty; reporting requirements under AIFRS; litigation support; shareholder disputes; and the sale or purchase of businesses. As an accredited forensic accountant with CAANZ, Lauren has a forensic accounting focus and assists with the financial aspects of a wide range of legal disputes, including commercial litigation, family law and fraud/ forensic investigations. Since 1998 she has specialised in expert accounting evidence assignments and acted as a Court appointed single expert, adversarial expert and shadow expert.
