Working as part of a team, as well as on an individual basis, my primary responsibility was to ensure that each event/webinar was planned and executed to the highest possible standard.This role allowed me to work with various sectors, and helped me develop a number of different skills including; budget management, event logistics, stakeholder management, venue sourcing and speaker/delegate liaison.

Having had the opportunity to work for Sheffield Hallam throughout my academic career, I have been given the opportunity to continuously build upon my knowledge of academic related events. Throughout my time as a Student Ambassador, I was able to build upon a core set of transferable skills, such as; customer service, problem solving and public speaking. This role gave me the ability to be flexible in the way that I work, having originally gone from giving directions at City Campus to being a tour guide between both City and Collegiate Campus, I was eventually able to take on the more responsible role of Events Management Course Ambassador and Placement Ambassador. This meant that I was one of those responsible for assisting both prospective students and their parents in making the all important decision of which University would best support their needs.

I was then also given the responsibility of securing sponsorship by negotiating pricing with large scale pharmaceutical companies.
