Hi, I’m Lauren Dodson. I am a rising junior in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. I am majoring in Finance and Operations & Supply Chain Management, with a minor in Sports & Entertainment Management. Growing up I always loved my math classes and did exceedingly well in them. Each class I was excited to learn and found it satisfying to solve equations and analyze numbers. I also love meeting new people and forming relationships with each individual I meet. I am currently the VP of Finance for my sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. From this role, I am using my analytical and operational skills to budget, financially plan and report, forecast, and process payments. This allows me to simultaneously get hands on financial experience while also giving back to my chapter and all the hardworking, driven women that are apart of it. I chose to minor in Sports & Entertainment Management to continue pursuing my passion for sports in the future. I have been an athlete my whole life, playing soccer, basketball, and lacrosse throughout my high school career, gaining leadership skills in my various roles of captain and manager. Motivating others and helping people achieve their goals is a fundamental value of mine, which I learned from my time as a Self-Esteem Rising Ambassador. I hope to combine the knowledge I gain in my business and sports classes to aid me in my future career goals and add value to future companies I work for. I am seeking a part-time job for fall 2024 and an Internship for summer 2025.
