As a cosmetology instructor at Johnston Community College, I mentor aspiring beauty professionals in various aspects of the field, based on the milady standard and NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts expectations. I have over three years of experience in this role, and I have also worked as a licensed cosmetologist in the beauty industry as a hairstylist, and nail technician. I have developed and delivered engaging and effective curricula, lectures, and demonstrations, as well as assessed and evaluated students' progress and performance. I have also participated in marketing and outreach activities to promote the cosmetology program and attract new students and partners. I have strong skills in public speaking, marketing, and customer service, and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise with others. I am committed to providing high-quality education and training to the next generation of cosmetology professionals.
