Since then I have worked my way through the ranks and after realizing my passion for the field, I opted to get Nationally Certified through ExCPT. - I moved to Florida in 2007 and maintained my position with Wal-Mart Pharmacy for 5 more years.- In 2012 after 9 years with Wal-Mart and feeling a strong desire to expand my knowledge and skills of pharmacy, I took a position as a Registered Pharmacy Technician III with Health First in Holmes Regional Hospital. I work in the retail Family Pharmacy of the hospital and and am highly proficient in every position. I have compounding experience with recirculating glove boxes, and am a primary compounding technician in the pharmacy. Unlike previous positions, I have expanded my knowledge greatly and I'm primarily working within our Hospice and Home Infusion departments. Working closely with our nurses within the hospital and our hospice field nurses. I take verbal orders, process claims through A/R accounts and Enclara, fill / compound medication, package for delivery, handle paperwork associated with prescritions, restock and manage inventory. I also help out with our Discharge program for the hospital, our regular retail side, which we process around 800-1000 Rx's daily.
