Right out of Spelman College, I accepted a position with my hometown team, the Detroit Pistons. Starting out as Web Coordinator, I expanded the team's digital and social media presence during the Pistons' ownership transition, playoff appearances and move to downtown Detroit. I was eventually promoted to Digital Content Manager, which encompassed web and social media management and content production. During my time in the position, I also expanded my responsibilities into assisting with player appearances, community outreach and playing a prominent role in the company’s initiatives focused on diversity and minority empowerment. Now, I run the social media accounts for the Detroit Lions! It's been so exciting using unique content to strengthen the team's relationship with the city of Detroit.I am an experienced public speaker, I have a knack for solving logistical issues at events on the fly and I love coming up with new ways for a brand to engage with the public.
