Mental performance drives me personally, whether it be my personal growth, working with collegiate or youth athletes and teams, or helping people perform in careers outside of athletics. I.e., social work, military, musicians. It is often an area that is neglected compared to the physical aspects of performance, yet it can make a huge difference in one’s confidence and results. Helping others reach their fullest potential, prepare, work through, and grow from challenges or adversity, new opportunities, and untapped potential is something that I am passionate about. Listening and guiding them through a client-centered approach is important for building rapport, trust, and buy-in. As a past dual sport collegiate athlete, I appreciate the opportunity to work with college athletes and students and be a guiding light and support system as they reach their goals. Developing and creating our sports injury clinic at California Baptist University allows me to help multiple athletes individually go through their mental injury recovery process and return to sport or transition out when facing a career-ending injury. Another highlight would be leading the partnership with our social work program at California Baptist University and allowing our students to share their knowledge and grow with a population that always is helping others.
