My duties remained largely the same as per the below however I was also overseeing a Senior QS and Assistant QS. During this time, I was managing c. £30m of contracts across 10-12 projects at any one time.

• Preparation, submittal & agreement of interim valuations. Prepare final account and attend final account negotiations.• Cost control tasks, including Prime Cost & labour monitoring.• Production, maintenance and submittal of variation cost plans.• Monitoring & valuation of sub-contract accounts, from tender through to final account.• Production of monthly management cost reports.• Regular contact with project and contract managers to ensure project specific financial targets are met.• Prepare and issue JCT D&B sub-contract documents.• Perform risk and value management during construction.• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.• Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.• Value completed work, oversee bills and arrange payments.

Responsible for the day to day running of the office;Managing all invoices – Both incoming and outgoing.Recruiting new staff – posted advertisements online, contacted potential candidates online and conducted brief telephone interview, then referring suitable candidates to the Managing Director.Payroll – Calculating amounts due to sub-contractors on a weekly basis. Ensuring all were verified with HMRCNew tenders – Receiving new tenders and analysing the scope of works required, seeking pricing from several wholesalers to get the best price on materials, in order to allow us to provide a competitive quote and in turn win new business.Responsible for all sub-contractors (20+), advising them where they were due to work each week, assigning their job cards, and acted as point of contact if any issues arose, if any plant equipment was required to be delivered to site, and arranging accommodation if they were required to work away from home.

April 2014 to April 2015: Certus – Senior Credit Analyst FSG Commercial – AIBManaging a portfolio of distressed borrowers who had high exposure mortgages (€500k - €3m) over a range of residential, investment & commercial properties.Engaging with the clients & assessing their financial circumstances in order to restructure their debt. Involves assessment of company accounts, profit & loss statements and any other relevant financial statements.Carrying out property valuations through market research.Face to face meetings with borrowers to discuss their case, using negotiation techniques to reach a sustainable solution for both parties.Preparing in-depth reports analysing and clearly detailing every aspect of the borrowers’ financial circumstances, income & outgoings, asset & liability profiles, and recommending either a suitable restructuring option, debt write-off or making a decision to pursue legal action and seek repossession of the assets.Presenting cases to senior management/ credit committee with proposals for treatment strategies.Managing day to day workload of Junior Credit Analyst reporting directly to me, monitoring performance & providing training.

September 2013 April 2014: Certus – Credit Underwriter – AIB SecondmentDay to day responsibilities included assessing financial statements, making decisions on the affordability of Borrowers to repay loans if restructured & communicating the decisions to the Borrowers. This aspect of the role required a professional & informative manner on the phone whilst remaining empathetic with the distressed customers.Whilst working on this team I used the opportunity to build my knowledge of forbearance products, improve my credit analyst/report writing skills & assessing risk of default. I received positive feedback from line management throughout the year with regards to my performance and work ethic. I was also selected to work on several ad hoc projects, which required the ability to adapt to change quickly in order to meet demanding Central Bank targets.

March 2012 to September 2013: Certus –Portfolio Manager/Credit Assessor – AIB SecondmentThis role involved managing a portfolio of 150 distressed mortgage accounts with historic arrears on an ongoing basis, regularly contacting customers to try to get them to engage with the Bank and work towards a sustainable solution.Collecting cash where possible or making arrangements with borrowers to address their arrears.Held face to face meetings with borrowers to discuss their financial circumstances.In July 2012 I was chosen to be apart of the Advanced Forbearance Pilot Scheme. I received product training on new debt restructuring solutions which previously had not been available to customers.Worked on the Credit Assessment Team, assessing cases for long term forbearance and writing reports with my recommendations.In April 2013 I was promoted to Executive level.

I joined Certus as a Collector in asset finance on a part time basis and reported into the Collections Manager.Contacted defaulting customers via telephone and letters to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum bad debt while continuing to deliver an excellent customer service.Worked as part of the Dialler/Inbound Team and held discussions with customers to ensure a win-win solution.Held in-depth conversations with customers regarding their debt and the severity of the consequences should default continue.Highly pressurized role as accounts need to be actioned and records updated in a timely manner while ensuring Policy and Procedures are adhered to.In May 2011 I secured a full time permanent position with Certus and continued working on the Inbound Team.
