Hi, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and lover of creativity, innovation, and new experiences. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Wellness Promotion at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I am heavily involved with UNC-Asheville’s Outdoor Program as a trip leader and marketing supervisor. My interest in outdoor recreation can further be exemplified by my work with the Outdoor Foundation’s outreach program Outdoor Nation. Over the past two years I have served as a one of 23 Outdoor Nation/National Park Service Ambassadors across the nation. Further, I have been fortunate enough to bring the Outdoor Nation Campus Challenge to UNC-Asheville as the student coordinator for the past two years. I am extraordinarily passionate about promoting outdoor activity within youth and young adult populations and firmly believe in the importance of cultivating accessible experiences that allow all individuals regardless of socioeconomic status, ethnicity, or experience level to participate in outdoor recreation. Ultimately, my work as a summer camp counselor, trip leader, and Outdoor Nation activator prove my dedication to instilling a sense of appreciation for and responsibility to protect our public lands.
