About Lauren Sheperd
My name is Lauren Sheperd, and I’m currently a senior at DePaul University in Chicago studying journalism and minoring in digital marketing and Irish studies. I also spent a semester studying in Cork, Ireland at University College Cork.. I’m originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio, which is where I started my journalism career as Editor-in-Chief of The Shakerite. Now, I work as Special Projects Editor at 14 East Magazine and as the Social Media Editor of DePaul's chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. I also freelance in and around the City of Chicago. I’m passionate about journalism that inspires change and like to conduct research and investigations.
