Led editorial strategy for the launch of Hearst Magazines’ e-commerce marketplaces, bringing to life the brand identities of Men's Health, Women's Health, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, and Prevention in shops that sell products editors love. Built and optimized a content-driven shopping experience that leveraged research and inspiration from magazine editorial to reduce friction and drive e-commerce growth. Spearheaded and optimized through data analysis and A/B testing an email content strategy that significantly increased click rate and drove a large portion of marketplace traffic. Worked cross-functionally to secure product placements in editorial articles, reviews, and newsletters, and led collaborations with marketers, designers, and product leads.

Established and led an affiliate content operation for Hearst Newspapers and Hearst Television that reached 27 media markets in 39 states. Developed and executed a data-informed SEO content calendar spanning 17 verticals that resulted in 500 high-quality articles designed to maximize revenue and audience reach. Managed freelance writing team and editorial budget, and led collaborations with executive stakeholders and editorial leads at Hearst Newspapers and Hearst Television.

On staff when the magazine was a finalist for the National Magazine Award for general excellence.Crafted editorial lineups and oversaw story assignment, developmental edits, and layout for two front-of-book departments: The 312, a news section covering politics, health, business, tech, and real estate; and Found, a lifestyle section covering wellness, fitness, beauty, and retail. Pitched, edited, and wrote feature stories, including long-form narratives and reader service packages about health, parenting, travel and more, including annual tent poles such as “Top Doctors,” “Best of Chicago” and “Best Places to Live.” Managed a stable of freelance writers and the associated budget. Represented the magazine on local media, including "Windy City Live," "Good Day Chicago," "Chicago Tonight," "The 21st" and "Morning Shift."

Led digital content strategy for multibillion-dollar global technology companies. Defined the voice of the C-suite in ghostwritten bylines, editorials, case studies and white papers. Created SEO content to engage target audience across news websites, blogs and social media. Developed and clearly communicated brand messaging. Presented strategic content and community-building recommendations to the C-suite.
