As a passionate special educator & administrator for almost 20 years, Lauren has helped build unique and innovative special ed programming, as well as online & virtual programming from the ground up. Hailing from the heart of Amish country in Northern Indiana, this sassy Purdue graduate is home raising 6 farm kids aged 5-15. That feat alone requires a unique sense of humor! She is currently back at Purdue working on a PhD in Educational Leadership & Policy after achieving her master’s from Ball State University some time ago in Special Education Administration. Since joining Tech Trep Academy as an Assistant Director, Lauren has been responsible for overseeing special education, SST/RTI processes & state policy implementation. She is a fierce believer in thinking outside of the box and providing educational options to meet family’s needs. She loves to share her expertise in the value of bringing non-traditional public school students into public school programming. Lauren has presented a national conferences on the implementation of special education programming within the virtual space among other topics focused on virtual education and special education.
