I have been in Workforce Development and Non-Profit arenas for over 10 years now with the last several focused on growing the Tech industry. I can truly say I have found my passion helping people find their path and advocating for those who need it. I have developed various skills over the years and many experiences from prior work in mental health programs, career guidance, assisting individuals with disabilities, and directing admissions and accommodations services. I have had the great opportunity to be in several leadership roles assisting and collaborating with management in program development, employee training, and how to best serve and meet a consumer's needs in the IT sector. Not only have these opportunities helped me develop as a professional, but they have taught me a lot about helping others and what it takes to go the extra mile to provide someone with a resource or bit of information that can help them start to achieve their goals. Sometimes in life it's not the large outcomes that signify a goal has been reached, but the small steps that have made a difference. My experiences have led me to be a more well rounded professional. My ability to facilitate and present information to consumers, community members, professionals and executives has led me to opportunities to present at local community colleges and disability service organizations on job readiness skills and company information regarding training programs and products. I have also taught new hires on Disability Awareness and helped establish and run an ERG for disabilities. I continue to strive for more education and understanding of the world and how my abilities can help effect the lives of others- consumers, co-workers, management, employers, and community members alike.
