Assigned to the managing attorney, responsible for drafting answers and responses to pleadings, preparing files for trial, taking instructions and directions from the managing attorney, picking up documents, research and other duties as they became necessary.

Kept the deposition books for the attorneys, assisted in settlement negotiations, reviewed files for discovery responses, performed correspondence with clients regarding hearings, medical appointments, etc., performed legal research and writing; set up probate estates, performed litigation duties when necessary.

Provided round-the-clock security at a medium security prison facility in downtown NYC. Kept prisoner counts, conducted cell sweeps, prisoner searches, responsible for the maximum security area and lunch room. Escorted prisoners to airports and bus terminals for deportation, picked up prisoners from other jails.

Checked individuals for proper residency papers, work permits, etc. Those who didn't have any or possessed fake or forged documents were set up for deportation. Conducted bus checks, farm checks, road stops and patrol.
