About Laurence Conneely Robinson

I currently work for Solutions Not Sides, a small but dynamic not-for-profit, pioneering the delivery of non-partisan education on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict across the UK and Europe. We provide a safe space for dialogue and discussion in schools, on a complex and important subject that many educators are keen to tackle but unsure and uneasy about how to do so.I focus on digital communications, content creation and strategy for the SNS programme, building bridges with communities around the UK, growing the audience for Solutions Not Sides work and articulating the programme's important message of non-political, peace and solutions-focused dialogue and education. I am an experienced communicator and relationship manager, and have more than 6 years experience working on international-focused projects rooted in an educational context. I have previously worked as the Links & Communications Manager for Link Ethiopia, and as an office administrator & research assistant for a learning & skills consultancy, Intelligent Matching Ltd.I graduated in September 2012 from the School of Oriental and African Studies, MSc Violence, Conflict & Development programme, with a merit. Prior to this, I graduated from my degree in Development Geography from King's College London in 2010 with a 2:1. I worked a number of jobs during my time at university to support myself. Both of these degrees have equipped me with a range of skills, including policy & academic research, article research, writing & editing, report research, writing & editing, data collection & analysis (interview process, canvassing, data analysis software e.g. SPSS, Excel).

Listed skills include Research, Social Media, International Development, Analysis, and 41 others.

Digital Communications Manager

London, United Kingdom

I lead on digital content creation, strategy and execution for SNS' growing digital presence, from direct email communications, social media platforms, our website and online advertising.I'm responsible for multi-channel email marketing to a combined audience of over 3000 people, delivering programme information, weekly news & media resources, as well as digital fundraising and other opportunities. Through analytics, A/B testing and other methods I've seen consistently high and growing engagement and click-through rates.I oversee all of SNS' social media channels and have overseen a 30% increase in Facebook Likes, an 88% increase in Twitter Followers and and a more than 100% increase in Instagram followers through the development of predominantly natural engagement with content and the select delivery of paid-for advertising. These dynamic digital platforms diversify and capture SNS' core audience's for the long-term, and keep bringing people back to our work.I also oversee SNS' website (on the Drupal CRM), curate its Blog and ensure landing pages, donation platforms and other content is engaging, up-to-date, captures our audience's attention and directs them to where they need to go, and that this is analysed and measured via Google Analytics.- Other duties include working with the Hubspot CRM platform, in-house content design, news & information briefings, leading school-facing speaking tours and more.
