A natural storyteller and, as reminded by her family, a detailed embellisher (it's not lying, it's just making things more interesting) Lauren finds her loud voice in the laughter she creates! Recognized as the 2017 Top Speaker in California, she got her start in comedy and copywriting by drafting speeches for her competitions. Eventually becoming a coach and the lead content writer at Advantage Communications Inc. and the Santa Ana Unified School District. She has authored multiple lessons and presentations on how to use your unique voice through your writing and led 8 intensive writers' workshops for students 6th grade through college. She finds inspiration through her own life experiences and getting hung up on the small details, constantly repeating the idea into wordplay perfection!While attending George Mason University she began Van Talk Podcast with her speech teammate, Danny Drane. Together they share personal stories about the activity and interview various teammates and competitors about their own experiences. She is a lover of vintage clothes, vegan cooking, and Animal Crossing! Not to brag, but she is also brave enough to cut her own bangs.
