Employing approximately 78,500 people at approximately 3,390 operating locations in 28 countries, CRH has market leadership positions in both North America and Europe.Lauren previously served as the Associate Vice President and Head of Global Communications at Verizon Business where she led a team of over 30 communications professionals and was responsible for all internal and external communication strategies. Lauren was a senior advisor to the CEO and C-suite, guiding and positioning executives as industry leaders. Notably, she maintained a leading share of voice and engagement compared to major competitors and led crisis management efforts for Verizon Business.Prior to joining Verizon, she served as Executive Director at FourBlock, a leading veteran employment nonprofit where she created and developed a national account strategy and planned growth initiatives to connect veterans with Fortune 500 companies. During her tenure, she significantly increased the organization’s digital communication effectiveness and led a nationwide staff. Lauren's career began in the United States Marine Corps, where she served for more than two decades and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. She was a strategic communications officer and lead liaison to the Pentagon, managed media relations, commanded a civil affairs team, and directed public affairs for Marine Forces Europe and Africa. Lauren also served for six years as an air support officer, as a team leader and platoon commander throughout South East Asia and the Middle East, led air operations during the Iraq War, served as a battle coordinator in Al Asad and as a Senior Air Director in Fallujah.Lauren holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, an Advanced Certificate in International Affairs from Texas A&M, and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.
